About Ken Trent

Ken Trent is the founder of the Academy of Business Negotiations and one of the most experienced B2B negotiators in the eCommerce and consumer goods space. Over a 20+ year career, he has overseen more than $3 billion in total negotiations and added over $100 million in net profits for his clients and employers.

His career includes serving as an Amazon Vendor Manager for Toys and Collectibles (managing a $200M+ P&L), Sr. Director at Spreetail where he helped grow the business from $200M to over $500M+ while leading an 80-person team, and President of BIMQuote at Builders Capital, one of the largest construction finance companies in the United States.

Ken’s approach to negotiation is built on a simple premise: negotiations happen between people, not companies. Understanding human psychology – needs, motivations, relationships – is the most powerful edge any negotiator can have. The Academy exists to teach that edge.
